I am the master of my fate

• Data i durada de l'activitat: durant l'última hora del dimecres hem estat llegint i escoltant el poema d'anglès.
• Objectius de l'activitat: aprendre a recitar un poema escrit en anglès sobre la pel·lícula que hem vist anomenada "Invictus".
• Feina realitzada per cadascun dels membres del grup: l'última hora ens hem repartit entre totes els versos del poema que haurem de recitar. A continuació, hem llegit juntes el poema, per després escoltar-lo a través d'Internet.
• Dificultats en la creació de l'activitat: és un poema curt, però algunes paraules són complicades.
• Pistes a tenir en compte: per aprendre a recitar correctament el poema, és més adequat mirar-lo en vídeo a través d'Internet, així, les paraules amb un grau de dificultat més elevat, es poden pronunciar correctament i sense errors.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate;

I am the captain of my soul.
